Your donation this giving season will help Queensway Carleton Hospital purchase life-saving medical devices and equipment to ensure our loved ones have the very best care, close to home.

Medical equipment such as MRI machines, vital signs monitors and even thermometers are not covered by government funding - they are all purchased through the generosity of our community.

Queensway Carleton Hospital provides care to the close 500,000 people – 50% of the population of Ottawa – and now has one of the busiest Emergency Department’s in the entire province.

YOU can help us put this life-saving technology into the hands of the expert medical team at QCH this GivingTuesday. Thanks to the generosity of Caivan, all donations made on #GivingTuesday will be MATCHED up to $25,000. The medical equipment we need right now is more important than ever before. Investment in upgrades to modern technologies will help us save lives, detect health concerns early, fight disease and provide preventative care.

Magnetic Resonance Imagine (MRI) is a critical diagnostic tool that helps physicians take a deeper look at the organs and tissues inside the body.

Today, QCH"s skilled radiologists and physicians rely on advanced MRI technology to help detect, diagnose and treat patients. The detailed images captured with an MRI are crucial for diagnosing a wide range of conditions including brain and spinal cord injuries, tumors, stroke, joint disorders, and heart disease, among others.

This new machine will help our team better serve the community by increasing our capacity for MRI scans, reducing wait times due in part to the backlog of patients that accumulated during the pandemic, and ensuring our patients have the very best care, close to home.
