Richard House Children’s Hospice supports children and their families in East London to lead as positive and happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. Our services support the whole family, from residential clinical care, to music therapy to end of life care.

Story

For a seriously ill child and their family, they're used to giving things up...

A Saturday morning lie-in is sacrificed to visit hospital...

A parent's dream career is given up for 24/7 care of their child...

The innocence of youth replaced by the fear of a life limiting health condition.

This Lent, what can you give up to support a Richard House family?

By fundraising £82 by quitting chocolate, or giving up your car for Lent, you can fund an hour of specialist respite care for a family who deserve a helping hand.

Richard House has helped us to get in contact with other children and parents who understand what life is like for us. They have given us the opportunity for respite care so Alexander can play for the day and I can have a rest from running after him. They have helped with our mental health through counselling with someone who understands the life of parents of children with complex medical needs. Most importantly they have been so nice and caring and given us a safe place to come where we can play and relax. " - Emma (Alexander's mum)
