Anonymous donors, too!
In 2007, NWABA planted its roots in the SW Washington community providing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
Everyone deserves an opportunity to experience sports and physical activities. For those who are blind or visually impaired, these opportunities are not common. Most children and youth with visual impairments in the U.S. have never participated in sports or physical activity. They’ve never ridden a bike, run on a track, or even participated in their school’s PE class.
By participating in sports and physical activity, these individuals not only transform their physical health, but they are also empowered to build confidence, find independence, become part of a community, and learn valuable skills leading to a greater quality of life.
NWABA’s programs and services are offered at no cost to the participants and their families. Due to state-wide funding reductions, your support is needed more than ever! Every dollar can make a difference and your gift will go twice as far, thanks to a matching donor. With your generosity, we can provide even more programs and services to children, youth and adults in our community.
