Story
Join the #GirlsAreAlsoStrong movement
In a country consistently ranked the most dangerous country for women in the world, where 88% of women are illiterate and 87% face domestic violence or abuse, the Ascend team is breaking down barriers every day thanks to donors like you.
Our two-year mountaineering based training programs empower young Afghan women to fight back and rise above the challenges they face in everyday life.
Help our girls show the world that #GirlsAreAlsoStrong

What next?
Once you have pledged your support, using the hashtag #GirlsAreAlsoStrong, post a photograph or video of yourself or someone you know (with their permission) on social media showing the world how strong you/they are. Tag 3 other strong women that you know and be part of the global movement. And remember, we don't just mean physical strength! Women throughout the world are strong everyday - leaders, business women, activists, climbers, single moms!
