Story
Starting on 27th October this year, Family Nursing & Home Care's (FNHC) Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist is heading to the Far East to take on a very special cycling challenge. Gilly Glendewar is aiming to cycle over 1000km around the island of Taiwan, and together with her husband Lloyd they are planning to cover a daily distance of around 50 kilometres as well as fitting in some extra sightseeing along the way. Gilly explained that she wanted to do 'something different' to mark her 35 years of nursing service and celebrate 35 years of marriage to her husband Lloyd, a fellow cycling enthusiast. Through undertaking this challenge, Gilly hopes to raise awareness of the work of FNHC.
FNHC is one of the oldest charities in Jersey. Our 186 staff provide or support the provision of essential healthcare services to islanders as close to home as possible. We deliver care in people’s homes, in schools and in community clinics. Our Ethos is to help islanders to start well, live well and age well.
We are so grateful for your support of FNHC.
