Get-Up for School!

Provide uniforms for Ugandan School Kids
Provide uniforms for Ugandan School Kids
We are so excited that the Wake Up school can re-open after a year of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, there's a snag and we need your help!
Although school in Uganda is free, students must have uniforms that they often cannot afford. In fact, the government has just mandated that for schools to reopen after lockdown, all students must have NEW uniforms. That's simply unaffordable for most of our families in Kikobero.
Kikobero is a rural mountain region in the East of Uganda where most families live hand-to-mouth and where education would be out of reach for most families. However, Wake Up school has been providing high quality, financially supported education for students in the area. They have surprised the exam boards with their competitive results in national exams with some students achieving the highest marks in the country! These kids are going places, but they can't get back to school until they have new get-up!
For one student, £12 will provide the two sets of uniform they need - one for normal school lessons and one for PE. There are 450 students at the school, so that's £5400 we want to raise!
Can you help us fund the kids' get-up for school, so they can wake up, get up and go back to learning?
