Story
Scotland will return to international football on Friday 4th September, when they take on Israel at Hampden. The Scottish FA and Children 1st are encouraging Scotland fans to show their support by posting a #matchdayselfie wearing their Scotland tops and raising money to support the Scotland's children and families.
The game may be behind closed doors, but the home team know Scotland has their back and you can show your support, and make a difference to the Scottish FAs charity partner Children 1st, by sharing your #matchdayselfie on Twitter or Instagram, and making a donation.
Vulnerable children in Scotland need your support more than ever. Usually our dedicated band of volunteers (and Hamish the highland cow!) would be outside the gates of Hampden collecting valuable donations before the game, but due to Covid restrictions we will miss out on this vital fundraising opportunity. Help us create a vibrant virtual match day atmosphere and support children and families across Scotland by taking part in our #matchdayselfie campaign.
Everyone who shares a selfie will also be in with the chance of winning a Scotland top, courtesy of the Scottish FA!
What do I need to do?
Its simple, all you need to do is:
1. Post your selfie with #matchdayselfie on either Twitter or Instagram
2. Make a donation at bit.ly/matchdayselfie
3. Tag and nominate five friends to do the same
When is it happening?
Things will kick off from Tuesday 1st September and run until midnight on Friday 4th September. Follow @ScottishFA and @Children1st to see who else is taking part!
