The Ghana Group Sponsorship Program focuses on the long-term development of 375 vulnerable children at Amrahia and Kpogede Community Schools. These two schools are in regions that suffer from high unemployment and extreme poverty. Because many parents in these regions are unable to earn sufficient income, it's common for children to be taken out of school to work in hazardous jobs, such as street hawking, farming, and fishing. Our hope is that parents will see the importance of keeping their children in school, rather than pushing them to earn income.
International Needs Ghana walks alongside the children for 10 years: teaching, mentoring, and gradually developing them into self-confident, empowered individuals who are prepared to chart their own paths in life.
