Story

November 2024 - thank you to the Fife Council NE Fife area committee who have funded us £5000!

Our next event is 26 Nov 2024 - Reya Tandoori night (Leslie) - come and eat and 50% of meal cost is donated to us!

Funds raised from this event will contribute to our CrowdFunder campaign to raise £4300 which will hopefully allow us to access £40, 000 from FCC Communities Foundation Fund. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/gatesidepark-renovation

August 2024 - thank you to all those that supported our BBQ, we raised a total of £1326.74!

We also hope to be bag-packing in Sainsburies Kinross in Sept so please look out for us there too!

March 2024 - we have now raised over £2300 as a community and we have a couple of large funding applications submitted.

Dec 2023 - we have raised our first £1000 from within the community! A way to go but a great bench mark to have passed!

Nov 2023 update - we have received planning options from Fife Council and will share these via the Gateside Park fb group - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552340754296.

Fife Council have also allocated us £50k from a Scottish Gov funding pot they will have for 2025/26 so we are a third of the way on our journey! We are super excited!

We are a small community who in recent years have lost our school & pub. We have a village hall which remains our centre of activity as well as our play park which currently is looking sad & run down.

We are raising funds for updated park equipment which will also make our park more inclusive & accessible to all ages in our community.

We understand how outdoor play is vital to the physical, social & emotional development of young people as well as being crucial to health and well-being of all ages.
