About Us
The Orange Foundation (TOF) was established in memory of Emma Aindow-Gregory, who had lived with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer for four and a half years.
Why the Orange Foundation?
Quite simply, orange was Emma’s favourite colour, but it also represented her perfectly. She was warm, positive, uplifting, dynamic, passionate and assertive – and fiery! In some cultures, orange represents a new beginning, hence why we decided on the name.
Anyone who knew Emma described her as a tornado of positivity and an inspirational woman. She faced her cancer head-on, but ever the athlete, she knew that it was a race she wouldn’t win. She is so greatly missed by her family and friends.
The Foundation has been established to remember her but also to help many people who are living with cancer. Toward the end of Emma’s life, she was adamant that everyone she loved should live their best lives, and we hope by establishing the Foundation, we can help others live their best lives.
How will we help?
Our focus is to provide support to individuals and families living with cancer by delivering practical support via our segments of help. Any funds that are raised will help us deliver the following:
Fund or provide patient advocacy services.
Fund diagnostics, scans or consultations that will help speed up the delivery of plans or treatment itself.
Fund or provide the patient and family members with talking therapies.
Fund cosmetic treatments and accessories or help fund surgery.
Contribute to cancer treatment, which isn’t always readily available on the NHS or to people who don’t have private medical insurance.
Applicants will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis, and we welcome applications from families on low incomes or armed forces veterans, but ultimately, there’ll be no preferential treatment given to anyone.
In the Foundation’s infancy, we can only give grants up to £2,000.00, but we aim to remove the funding cap as soon as possible and provide each applicant with enough funding relevant to their situation.
