Story
Here at Everyone Can we help disabled people through the power of technology. Through training and assistive technology we help disabled people speak, control their environment, gain independence and have fun!
We carry out assessments to see how a persons disability is holding them back and find technology that can help them achieve their goals. Over the past 5 years we have also provided gaming sessions for disabled children, back in May 2018 we opened our own very own Technology & Gaming centre in Manchester. We now on average have around 5 gaming sessions a week for disabled children; we have 150 inch screens for multiplayer games, a driving rig, 2 virtual reality stations and 5 assistive gaming stations for children who are unable to use a regular controller. These stations are designed to quickly assess the children and then get them gaming in the way easiest for them e.g. joysticks, switch buttons, eye movements, head movements etc. Gaming sometimes gets a bad rep but weve seen first-hand the benefits it has to disabled children whether theyre physically disabled or have a learning disability.
