Story
Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.
It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.
Please support our Team to support Brighterway!
A message from Gail :-
This is me, I'm a 44 year old proud mum of 2 grown up kids and happily married to Sean. We've recently rescued a dog so life is a little chaotic. I dabbled a little with adrenaline sports before I had my kids. I abseiled the Ark Royal when she was in dry Dock at Portsmouth back in 90s, no one in my family had done anything like it before. Then I became a mum and had to be the responsible parent. My nan passed away last year, she was my biggest supporter and she was always asking when I was going to do another abseil so when the opportunity came up I "jumped" at the chance. I need to show my kids what their old mum is capable of and hopefully encourage them to do something adrenaline linked in the future.
My lil known fact is I actually did a 13,500 ft tandem parachute jump.
I'm looking forward to reaching the bottom, and proving to myself I still can lol and having a blast while raising some much needed funds for such a good cause!
