WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

The people of Frat, in Ethiopia, are among the 785 million people worldwide who don't have clean water. Uncertainty is part of everyday life. Now, more than ever.

Our changing climate means the weather there is increasingly unpredictable. The summers are getting hotter. Unexpected storms keep coming. And the crop, their only source of income, is under threat.

The people of Frat need you by their side this winter. You can help make sure as our climate changes they can rely on one thing, clean water, so they can thrive today and every day.

Knowing clean water will always be on tap will open a new world of possibilities for people in communities like Frat. Hawa can't know what tomorrow will bring. But when she knows she has clean water on tap, she knows she can thrive.

Stand alongside the people of Frat as they look forward to a #FutureOnTap.

Your fundraising from 5 November 2020 to 4 February 2021 will be doubled by the UK government, up to £2 million, making double the difference in climate-vulnerable communities like Frat.

Match funding from the UK government will be used to bring sustainable and climate resilient water, toilet and hygiene facilities to drought-prone communities.
