After an extremely successful Kwik Cricket Tournament we are delighted to announce the next event of the Fundraiser Fridays will be a Mixed Netball Tournament organised by Northumbria Netball Club. The event will take place on Friday 3rd December and will be raising vital funds for Student Minds.

One in six people experience common mental health issues. Coming to University can be a big challenge for students as they are faced with new surroundings, new people and new experiences. These can all result in students feeling overwhelmed, so it is important for them to know that they have access to the correct support and a place to turn to when times get tough.

Student Minds is a charity dedicated to empowering students and members of the University community to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. For this reason, we have selected to support this charity with the funds raised from our tournament.

As a club we feel it is important to come together to fundraise for a cause so close to many of our hearts. This year has been a difficult one for everyone, and without the netball community and sport to turn to many of us would have struggled a lot more. I think we can all agree that sport has been and continues to be a way that we can all escape and relieve our stress. For this reason we would love for as many people as possible to join us and witness the enjoyment and team spirit we get out of netball.

We can't wait to see which team triumphs on the netball court, so get your teams together and your Christmas outfits on.

Entry is £25 per a team or £3pp with all proceeds going to Student Minds. Students are encouraged to wear Christmas themed fancy dress and raffle tickets will be available on day as well as a range of fundraising games at the interval.
