Story
Fund a Friendship
Help turn loneliness into connection. We're launching Fund a Friendship, a special campaign running throughout June, which will also celebrate Volunteers’ Week and Loneliness Awareness Week.
It’s a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make our work supporting people who are experiencing loneliness and isolation possible, and to come together to ensure we can continue helping those who need us most.
Loneliness can affect anyone. It can impact our mental, physical and social health, our confidence, and our quality of life. But with the right support, friendships can grow and lives can change.
Together Co helps to creates life-changing connections through befriending, volunteering and community support, so people feel seen, heard and part of something again.
Our volunteers are the beating heart of Together Co

Behind every friendship we support is a volunteer.
From weekly phone calls to welcoming someone at a community event, our volunteers bring warmth, kindness and consistency into people’s lives. They are the reason connection happens — the friendly voice, the listening ear, the person who shows up.
But these friendships don’t happen by chance. They require training, support and careful matching to make sure each connection is meaningful and sustainable.
That’s where you come in.
Every friendship starts with you

£520 could fund and support one new volunteer befriender
£2,500 could match up to 20 long-term friendships, creating relationships that last
Why friendships matter
A friendship can mean:
* Someone checking in each week

We know that connection is essential for wellbeing. It helps people feel they belong, strengthens communities, and improves lives.
