Story
On the 7th July 2021 The Gambia was hit by a major rain storm that destroyed many homes, businesses and more taking lives and livelihoods.
The Fresh Start School was badly damaged ed with the storm destroying the school roofs of six classrooms and the much loved and used library and some resources.
Two classrooms required complete restricting including flooring, windows and doors.
The rain caused flooding which means the whole school will need refurbishment.
This week the students were taking their exams but for obvious reasons they have been postponed. This is devastating for them and the community especially after the pandemic affects from last year.
The good news is the wider community will contribute towards labour to complete the works as soon as possible to avoid more damage due to coming rains.
All we need is a little support from you to make this happen.
We appreciate any amount donated in the hope that we can restore their education quickly.
