Story
We have all been deeply moved by the tragic floods that have devastated Rio Grande do Sul. Over half a million people have been affected, with many losing everything.
Among the victims are fellow musicians and vital music organisations such as the Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre (OSPA) and the Projeto Prelúdio.
* The Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra (OSPA) is based in Porto Alegre, the capital Rio Grande do Sul. It was founded in 1950 under the direction of the Hungarian conductor Pablo Komlós.
* The Prelúdio Project offers musical education for children and young people aged 5 to 17. Its purpose is to develop the musicality of students in the community, teaching them to sing, play and integrate music into their daily lives, through classes and participation in musical ensembles.
Many have lost their instruments, their places to teach or have music lessons, and thousands of concerts have been canceled, which has severely impacted their financial stability.
Your donation will help to rebuild their lives, restore the joy of music, and bring hope back to a community in need. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference.
