A team of amazing fundraisers climbed Ojos del Salado, the highest live volcano in the world, in January, and you amazing people donated over £20,000 to help spur us on - you are remarkable.
In order to reach our £100k target, the climbers have decided to continue with many crazy challenges, and have coined the phrase, a Year Of Pain. From marathons to tattoos, paintball chase to mountain biking the alps and taking on our national 3 peaks challenge too.
All funds raised from the climb will go towards buying a woodland that will be used for outdoor trips, residentials, family holidays and much more to allow our children and young people to explore the outdoors beyond the city, and to ultimately extend their lives by inhaling clean air!
You are welcome to join us on any of the YOP challenges, get in touch with John on 07971000598 for more information. Thank you
free@last have been providing a wide variety of opportunities for the children, young people and adults for many years; from adventurous activities to enterprise, therapy to advice.
free@last enable and equip people to become resilient and independent, as well as support them through the challenges life puts in their way and help them uncover their purpose and be content.
Youth work is one of free@last's core strengths and a massive amount of time, resources and energy is put into providing support and opportunities for the children and young people of Nechells. This work has taken many different forms throughout the last 2 decades, some have been consistent throughout, like the youth clubs, whereas other projects have been reliant on funding, staffing or resources.
free@last have supported many young people and have great pleasure when we see them grow into responsible, caring and purposeful adults. There are many different forms that youth work can take and free@last have used many of these methods over the years but our focus is always on building long term relationships where we are trusted and available for the children and teenagers of Nechells.
