Story
Our campaign
Right now due to the COVID-19 crisis, schools are closed for the unforeseeable future and other family services either shut or running at a reduced rate. This leaves many of our most vulnerable households with young families under enormous pressure to educate and entertain at home during the nationwide lockdown.
Art projects are a fantastic way to do this, but we know how expensive art materials can be. Many households who already face financial strain won't be able to afford art materials for stay at home arts and crafts activities, that would have otherwise been provided for by schools and family services.
This is why we are creating FREE art packs for these residents of Woodberry Down, North London.
How will this work?
We want to relieve some of this pressure by providing FREE art packs, with fun and educational worksheets that will be delivered by volunteers alongside our emergency food service to 200 vulnerable households. No need for these families to leave their homes or to splash out on art supplies.
You don't need to be Picasso to create masterpieces. A little Pritt-stick and wax crayons will go along way!
So, how does your donation help us create these FREE art packs?
We want to create over 200 art packs. Your generosity and donations will help us achieve our goal.
£5 can buy 300 kids and toddlers stickers.
£10 can buy 100 coloured wax crayons.
£20 can buy enough tissue paper for all 200 art packs.
We know the importance the arts play in improving wellbeing, which is needed more than ever. While the epidemic is already causing havoc on wellbeing nationwide, the effect it will have on our vulnerable resident's wellbeing will be unfathomable.
Donate, share, your community needs you.
