Foundation Day is an opportunity to showcase the positive impact of the charitys work in the local community and around the world.

The unprecedented events of the past 12 months has seen a huge increase in need and demand for vital support, and especially in the most deprived and underserved communities.

The club, its community team Red Neighbours and the LFC Foundation have responded with its Unity is Strength Community Response, which is a package of support services and activities to directly address the most immediate issues facing its communities.

The response work is focussed on four key areas, including food poverty, social isolation, physical and mental wellbeing, and volunteering in addition to running a weekly schedule of community programmes, currently virtually but also in person when possible.

Club Captain, Jordan Henderson, commented: We have been overwhelmed by the kindness, passion, generosity and resilience shown by our participants, fans, communities around the world. Our anthem of Youll Never Walk Alone has never rung so true.

At this weekends game fans will see the Reds wear LFC Foundation branded warm up tops as well as a special edition Foundation Day matchday programme.

This Foundation Day fans can support the work of the LFC Foundation by making a donation , which will directly provide much needed food, reduce social isolation and promote physical and mental wellbeing in the community during the current lockdown and as restrictions begin to ease as part of its community response work.
