Some of our current parents learned to swim in an above-ground swimming pool at Tedburn St Mary Primary School. Some of the memories are not that fond, as it was freezing and the changing rooms were drafty sheds! Over time a gas heating system was installed, but it was still only the hardiest who enjoyed the water. Several years ago, the pool itself was decommissioned and taken down and the area - a large, secure and sunny space - has been fenced off and is not used by the children...until now! We are hoping to change all that and grab the potential the space offers to create a beautiful new sensory play zone for the kids that can be used year round. This will be an additional learning and play area which will enhance the education on offer at Tedburn St Mary Primary School. Such a project is ambitious and the children are very enthusiatic about contributing through our first fundraising initiative, the 2022 Busy Bee Challenge, where every child is challenged to raise £20.22. We can't do this all without them, but they can't do it without you, so please help us. Thank you.
