Why Barnardo's?

As the largest children's charity in the UK, last year Barnardo's supported more than 382,000 children, young people, parents and carers.

Sadly, the cost of living crisis is making their situation even worse and more frightening everyday. Families who once had to choose between heating and eating are finding they're unable to afford either.

Barnardo's frontline staff are providing essential support for children and young people whose families are having to choose between eating and paying their bills. In July 2022, three in five Barnardo's frontline staff (58% reported supporting someone who is experiencing poverty.
