Organised by IEPR (organicsoul.uk)We aim to raise money for our local foodbank to ensure that people are able to have food to eat. Food is a basic need. Sadly, we are having to raise money for families who are struggling to eat and the situation is getting worse.
Here at Organic Soul have been providing services from our food bank for the past few years.
We are a local food bank that is part of the Bury Support Network of food banks. We provide essential food items, support, and advice to people and families across Bury who are experiencing severe financial hardship.
We believe that it isn't right that anyone should be left hungry, or living in extreme poverty. A food bank like ours provides emergency food and compassionate, dignified support to people experiencing severe hardship.
Your generous donations will help to ensure that we can continue to support those in need. It is especially important now that there are no funds available from central government, leaving us completely reliant on generous donations from the community.
We are also very grateful to be receiving Non-perishable, in-date food items donated by the public at a range of places, such as Bury Business Centre, Millgate Bury, a local laundrette and a variety of other businesses. We are also thankful to local supermarkets who kindly donate surplus food at the end of the day. All this food is then sorted into emergency food parcels by our volunteers to be given to people in crisis.
Organic Soul also run a weekly soup kitchen providing the homeless and needy with hot meals, tea, coffee, sandwiches and snacks. We also provide them sleeping bags and clothing. Sadly the situation is getting worse and we on average provide between 70 to a 100 meals per feed. We apprecaite everyone who has supported us in the past and continue to do so.

A food parcel for a single person can cost upto £15.00.
A food parcel for a couple can cost upto £20.00.
A food parcel for a family of four can cost upto £30.00.
Upto TEN homeless individuals can be fed a hot meal, tea and snack for just £20.00.
Please give what you can. We are very grateful for any support that we receive, and we pray that you be given more provisions than the provisions you provide to our service.
