Story
On Sunday 26th March 2023, join the Grief Encounter Forget-Me-Not Walk, as hundreds of people up and down the country and walk in memory of someone close, raising vital funds for bereaved children, young people and their families.
Now in its third year, it couldn't be easier to join us and take part! Walk solo, or as part of team - with your family or friends and don't forget to include the dog! Choose your route and distance, ask for sponsorship and you're ready to go! Each person/dog that registers (£5 per person/dog) will receive a Grief Encounter beanie hat, a packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds and a Forget-Me-Not memory sticker. You can also purchase a doggie bandana so they can 'go walkies' in style!
100% of the funds raised will go towards supporting bereaved children and young people who have experienced the death of someone close, and those impacted by grief. In the last year alone, we have seen an 173% uplift in calls to our national helpline asking for support. More children, young people and families than ever are in need of professional grief support. Our priority is to be able to continue offering the best support we can to all of those who need us, and we can't do that without your support.
Walking in the Forget-Me-Not Walk has no minimum fundraising target, however, for every £50 you raise, you could fund the cost of a specialist resources pack, providing children and their families with age appropriate books, journals and further resources to help them take their first step to professional bereavement support.
If you would like to join the hundreds of people across the UK walking for Grief Encounter, register today and help us reach even more bereaved children by raising as much as you can! https://www.griefencounter.org.uk/fmnw
