SARA Cotswolds are 100% reliant on volunteers who give up their time, which can often interupt personal and work commitments to help those who are in vunerable and often life threatening situations.
The operation of our station requires a large amount of commitment from these volunteers from regular training to attending live call-outs (which average 2 a week), as well as organising fundraising events.
We like to think of all our crew members as hereos and your donations are what keeps us going.
The technical equipment and PPE (personal protection equipment) needed to keep our crew safe, and more importantly enable us to deliver the best care to those we are helping is so vital. And we can't do this without you.
We are constantly reviewing our capabilities and offerings, for example, as significant floods have become a feature of the UK weather, the need for the emergency services to rely on Volunteers increases. We are looking to expand our services to cover flood rescue kits to help support our local communities during these extreme weather events. In addition our current equipment needs continual servicing and replacement. Without continued support we would not be able to deliver these life saving services.
Our main mission and focus is to protect and save lives. We often deal with the most vunerable of people and this can be distressing to our crew, but we never lose sight of the end goal. We are all on call 24/7 which is why we need a reliable and committed team.
Thank you so much for supporting us, every crew member is hugely appreciative as it means we can deliver the best service possible to those who needs us the most and their families.
