Story
After two years of disrupted education we want to ensure we continue to give our students the best opportunities and enriching experiences we can.
This year sees the launch of our new Read Aloud initiative in which our Year 7 students are given the experience of being read to for twenty minutes each day. Studies have shown reading just twenty minutes a day benefits students not just academically but mentally and emotionally. It's something we, as a school, feel passionately about.
This is an exciting project in which all of our Year 7 students will read the same texts, at the same time, making it a wonderful collective experience and one they can talk about with their friends, their teachers and their families.
Any donations will help fund books throughout the school year and will extend the life of the project, encouraging a love of reading and improving literacy all year round. We hope to be able to extend it to many more students in the near future, too!
If you would like to support the extension of this project and you are able to donate to buy a book we would be incredibly grateful. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference.
