Calling all brave soles!
Join the Great North Air Ambulance Service and an experienced team of firewalking professionals for the shortest sponsored walk you'll ever take part in!
While no fitness level is required, it takes strength of mind to conquer your fears and take that first step into the fire.
Following an hour of training, while the fire burns to red-hot embers, the coals are raked it's time to take off your shoes! The coals burn at around 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, but don't worry - you'll cross the smouldering walkway unscathed.
You'll experience an amazing feeling as you walk barefoot across burning coals at temperatures of up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Raise money for GNAAS by taking on this challenge and you'll be a hero in more ways than one!
The event is hoping to beat the current world record for a mass participation firewalk, which currently stands at 1356 participants.
When you sign up, we'll send you a fundraising pack and a t-shirt to wear while you walk.
You'll also receive advice from the experts on the day before your walk, and lots of loud support from the GNAAS team and other brave firewalkers on the day.
Once you've conquered the coals, you'll receive a finishers medal and certificate and we'll take plenty of pictures to share your scorching success with your family and friends!
