Our Firewalk Story
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey supports over 8,000 people across Surrey who are blind, vision impaired, Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing. Many members of our community experience loneliness and isolation with a lack of social support and opportunities accessible and available to them.
To combat this we want to increase the number of Community Hubs that operate across the county. These Hubs will offer a welcoming space for community members to pop along for a cuppa and a chat with the support of our expert teams. For some, this is the only time they share with those who understand their lived experience.
In order to do this we need your support.
We have decided to host an exciting Firewalk Challenge to bring our supporters together to raise funds to make this a reality.
The Firewalk will be an amazing opportunity to challenge yourself whilst overcoming your fears to achieve something incredible.
Don't just take our word for it!
Previous Firewalkers have said:
“The whole night was unbelievable and I can’t recommend it enough”
“I want to do it all again!”
“Empowerment, elation and a feeling of ‘if I can do this, I can do anything!”
