Can you conquer the coals and help raise funds for NCW?
On March 14th, we invite you to face your fears and take on our exhilarating fire walk.
A fire walk is one of the most empowering challenges you’ll ever experience. As the name suggests, it involves walking barefoot across a bed of red-hot embers heated to around 800 degrees. No gimmicks, no special effects—just you and the fire.
NCW is the only secondary school in the UK dedicated to supporting vision-impaired young people. We are a national, residential, non-maintained special school serving students aged 11–19 who are blind or visually impaired, with some also facing additional challenges, including hearing impairments, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or autism.
The majority of the students’ fees are funded by their local authorities, covering education, residency, and individualised support. However, NCW relies heavily on fundraising to cover costs related to general maintenance, refurbishments, vehicles, equipment, and most extracurricular activities.
Please support NCW to help them to continue to inspire, nurture and empower young people who are blind or vision impaired. Your support really will help make a difference.
