Story
Established in 1981 by a group of Holocaust survivors, FIDF is a non-political, non-military organization that works closely with the IDF to provide for the wellbeing of its soldiers. FIDF is the sole official organization authorized to collect charitable donations on behalf of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces across the United States and Panama as designated by Lt. General Aviv Kochavi, IDF Chief of the General Staff.
FIDF's programs address the educational, financial, and emotional needs of Israel's soldiers, fundamentally changing their lives and providing them with opportunities ahead. In 2022, FIDF touched the lives of over 105,000 soldiers, veterans and their family members.
The FIDF Young Leadership-NY Chapter is comprised of emerging philanthropists, ages 21-40, from a span of professional trades, who are committed to raising funds to care for the wellbeing of Israel's soldiers. We engage over 3,000 young leaders annually through a diverse range of educational and social activities. We hope you can join our FIDF Young Leadership NY Chapter in raising the essential funds to provide hope, purpose, and life changing support to the IDF soldiers who protect the State of Israel and safeguard the Jewish people around the world.
