Story
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically increased food insecurity, hitting already-vulnerable communities the hardest.
Project Renewals social-purpose catering company, City Beet Kitchens, has stepped up to meet the growing demand. We've more than doubled our reach to provide more than 7,300 nutritious meals each day to residents of shelters and transitional housing across New York City.
Project Renewal also creates stable jobs--and livelihoods--for New Yorkers in need.
Next year, we will aim to train 100 formerly homeless or incarcerated adults for culinary careers, and we employ many of them on City Beet Kitchens staff of 90 chefs, food service workers, and delivery drivers.
Having access to nutritious meals is a fundamental step towards stability, recovery, and renewal!
You can support City Beet Kitchens and help feed New Yorkers, today!
