Story
Future Dreams was founded by two extraordinary women, Danielle and her mother, Sylvie in 2008. It was their dream that nobody should ever face this illness on their own or without hope. Tragically, one in seven women and one in 400 men will receive a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime and we are committed to making a difference to the lives of all those touched by the disease through our support services, raising awareness of key issues (such as early detection and diagnosis) and funding vital research into secondary breast cancer.
In October 2021, thanks to the support of so many individuals and companies, we were incredibly proud to open Future Dreams House, the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK. The house has become the hub for all our in-person and virtual services which, at the most difficult of times, provides individuals and their loved ones with the emotional and practical support they so desperately need. It’s a very special place indeed.
85% of our visitors felt Future Dreams met or exceeded their expectations, 79% felt less alone and 77% reported an improvement to their mental health.
This year we will support more than 2,000 individuals living with breast cancer, rising to 5,000 per annum by 2027. We could not continue our work and the legacy of our founders without the commitment of our community. Please help us make a real and positive difference.
