Visit the charity's profileThis event is the first of its kind in our area and will host a small group of business, community and faith leaders from our region. Proceeds will benefit the Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, a faith-based, Florida non-profit founded in St. Augustine in 1997.
Sleep Out events are a global movement, attracting people from all walks of life. A Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless, but rather an experience to understand and reflect. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul wrote: Share each others burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
