Vaccines are bringing hope in the fight against COVID-19 but not for everyone. No one is safe until all of us are safe, but access to vaccines is not equal.

People in the worlds poorest communities are already at the back of the vaccine queue. Women and children, refugees, displaced families and nearly 275,000 frontline healthcare workers are critically vulnerable.

Thats why CARE is drawing up plans to help ensure that most marginalised and vulnerable people have access to COVID-19 vaccines over the coming year.

For 75 years, CARE has led global humanitarian response efforts, including more than 20 years of leadership in immunisation and vaccination programmes. We now stand ready to use our resources and networks in the service and delivery of these new vaccines.

You can help people like Manju (pictured above). She is a healthcare worker in India and is one of many women on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. Healthcare workers like her have the potential to save millions of lives. She visits families every day to provide maternal and child health services in some of the most isolated and underserved communities. Frontline health workers like Manju are critically important to the fight against the pandemic and may be at high risk of infection themselves.
