Summer can be an overwhelming time for many of the families we work with across Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, with school holidays adding to existing financial pressures and increased feelings of stress and anxiety. Many of the parents we support find it difficult to provide children with fun and engaging activities without breaking the bank, which led us to the idea of the Summer Survival Box. We aim to create 50 boxes to support families across the two counties, with activities including arts and crafts, puzzles, books, baking kits and sports equipment. We hope that this will allow families to enjoy some relaxed quality time together, whilst bringing a sense of fun into the family home.

The cost of living crisis is still impacting many families across the UK with almost 8m people still struggling to pay bills. Pledging a donation will help families give their kids the summer that they deserve.
