Fair Play: Equal Opportunity for All Young People
Every young person should have an equal opportunity in life, there should be a level playing field. For a civilised society this is a fundamental truth, a basic principle along with the free provision of care for the elderly and for the ill. The Fair Earth Foundation CIO has worked with disadvantaged youth in the UK for many years. The scale of disadvantage in the UK is huge- from children entering the care system to those enduring sexual abuse (national statistics suggests this runs at one in twenty in the UK; our dealings with young girls in particular would suggest this is a conservative figure- the stories are truly horrific) through to those living on the streets. The current mental health crisis in the UK is a reflection of this situation.
+ Johanna’s pole dancing community at Celestial Studios:
(shock & horror from our older readers).

About Johanna
Johanna, co-founder of Celestial Studios, is a passionate pole dance instructor with 7 years of experience. Recently graduated with a Master’s degree from Imperial College London, Johanna is committed to building an ethical business that aligns with her values. As part of this journey, she’ll be taking a pole to the beautiful landscapes of Tenerife, introducing pole dancing to those interested in learning.
Johanna and a dedicated group will climb Mt. Teide, one of the world’s tallest volcanoes, to pole dance at sunrise, followed by a sunset session on Tenerife’s enchanting black sand beaches. This incredible experience combines the beauty of nature with the artistry of pole dance, creating truly magical memories for all involved.
We have known Johanna for many years on the projects and we want to work with her. ALL funds received will be used to support programmes we have worked with for many years.
Johanna is a qualified pole dance instructor and sees it as a great way to get and keep fit. Most women, below a certain age, think the same, I am not sure what men think! She is about to open her first studio in Shepherds Bush, London and it will embrace pole dancing, yoga and mindfulness sessions. She will be taking on the Teide Challenge to raise funds to support this fund. She will be taking a pole with her and will introduce pole dancing to those who would like to learn. Not only will they climb Mt Teide and pole dance at the top of the world’s third highest volcano at sunrise but they can also pole dance at sunset on a black sand beach in the evening on one of Tenerife’s beautiful beaches. Magical!!! Johanna, just graduated with a Master’s degree from one of the best universities in the world, Imperial College, London and wants to develop her business as truly ethical- she is a star.
Johanna is a star, she came through the foster system and inspires all around her with her energy and enthusiasm for life. She wants to ‘do something’ to help children in need of care.
+ Boxing:
The Kinsella Boxing Camp is a boxing training camp in Tenerife. It is a top quality training facility for the world’s top boxers. We work with them to provide an extraordinary opportunity to young street kids to train with the greats in top of the range facilities. The aim is to inspire the youngsters with what could be, to be inspired and motivated to be the best they can be. We combine this experience with sessions with great gyms 0n the island, and fitness ‘reboot’ retreats run by an ex paratrooper who focusses on physical and mental health with nutrition, mindfulness and meditation techniques incorporated into his programme. All our participants are introduced to Tenerife’s extraordinary culture and extraordinary range of land and water based activities. The aim is to provide an exciting window on to a whole range of opportunities for young people, give them an opportunity to dream and the motivation to ‘have a go’
+ Notting Hill Carnival School for Arts.
Angela was the proud winner of a prestigious award at the London Eco Film Festival . Through the carnival school she provides routes back into education through qualifications linked to this world famous carnival – fashion design, float construction, music and dance, photography…. We can have her students help out at Tenerife’s world famous carnival, the second biggest in the world after Rio de Janeiro and the holder of the Guinness World record for the largest street party. Giving young people the opportunity to learn through doing and particularly on a creative level is key to unlocking their potential and building their self esteem and confidence.
+ Conservation,
whales and dolphins we have worked with many young people over the years on the whale and dolphin research-guiding programme we run in Tenerife, the world’s third largest whale and dolphin centre. By giving them this opportunity many young people have gone on to further and higher education and created great lives for themselves in the process.
See our Autism platform We provide programmes for autism youngsters to experience the dolphins of Los Gigantes.
