Story
Our vision is a world in which all children have equal access to education.
40% of school-aged refugees in Lebanon are not enrolled in education. Future Academy provides a school, art studio, football academy and after school club for more than 150 refugee children, aged 7-16 years.
Many of our students are effectively stateless and will always live in a refugee camp, so emotional wellbeing and interpersonal skills are as important as academic success. Our innovative education programme aims to protect, educate and empower. We focus on what will best equip students for the specific challenges they face; we use games as a tool to improve academic performance and to build resilience - making learning active, engaging and fun.
100% of donations are used directly to provide charitable activities; volunteer teachers from the UK work alongside staff from the local refugee community.
