Story
After raising over £2.7 million through his first fundraising effort to raise funds for the MND community in December 2020, Kevin has added to that with his latest challenge! The former England captain, who joined the coaching staff at Premiership Rugby Union side Leicester Tigers earlier this year, completed his run from Leicesters home at Mattioli Woods Welford Road to Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds in just 24 hours.
Kevin's initial target for The Extra Mile Challenge was to raise £100,000, however his total currently stands at just over £1.5 million. This challenge, inspired by his friend and former team mate Rob Burrow, was planned to cover 100 miles but the actual final distance covers 101 miles with Sinfield once again proving he will always go the 'extra mile' for Rob. Will you join Kevin in helping to raise money to benefit people living with MND?
MND Association patron Rob Burrow CBE sadly died on 2 June 2024, four and a half years after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
Throughout that time, Rob and his family bravely chose to publicly share their MND journey to raise awareness of the disease. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done.
