Sponsored Lapland Expedition
Can the children of West Haddon Primary School travel 1,400 miles together from West Haddon to Lapland before Christmas?!
The children, teachers, parents/guardians and grandparents are attempting a virtual expedition - to travel the 1,400 miles it takes (as the reindeer flies) to reach Lapland!
They can walk, run, cycle or skate during the next five weeks to make up the distance to reach Lapland. We will definitely get there, if we travel 2 miles each week.
Track your Distance:Help us to track the distance travelled by recording on the link each time you go for a walk or add your total for each week: https://forms.gle/zjqwu8aatXmp4w7o8
With the help from family and friends, we're raising money for the PTA playground project and The Faraway Childrens Charity. The funds will be split 50:50 and we have applied for £4£ matched fundraising to support the activity.
Prizes:Every explorer will receive a certificate for taking part and there will be a prize for the child that travels the furthest in each year group.
Some additional prizes will also be awarded for photos taken & shared on the PTA Facebook page. The categories are: Wildlife spotter, Puddle Jumper, Most fabulous expedition hat, Beautiful landscape & Nature in detail. Prizes have been kindly provided by Park End Farming Ltd, Crick.
