Story
The Alliance of Baptists is in an exciting place of transition and new possibilities. Under the leadership of co-directors Elijah Zehyoue and Carole Collins, we are pressing forward to lean into our commitment to antiracism.
In this time of transition, we will begin reckoning with our roots.
The Alliances rich history - one of bold steps towards an inclusive future - is also one complicated by the sin of racism.
In order to truly embrace our commitment to racial justice, we must revisit our founding and wrestle with the white supremacist structures upon which we now stand. We are ready to begin in earnest the work of unearthing our history and reckoning with our roots. And we need your help.
This #GivingTuesday, were asking that you make a gift to the Alliance to support this work. Join us in excavating our roots to embrace an even richer future.
And this year we have received three matching gifts of up to $5,000 each. Every dollar you give to the Alliance on Giving Tuesday will be triple-matched by these gracious donors. That means for the first $5,000, each dollar is worth $4.00.
So make plans to join us this year in beginning this critical undertaking of examining our roots so that we can transform the Alliance toward being an organization that demonstrates to the church and the world that this work matters and must be done.
