Everest in a Day

Story

On Father's Day weekend 2024, a group will be setting out on a huge challenge to climb the height of Everest (base camp to summit) in just 24 hours. Covering 26 miles using nothing but their two feet. This endurance challenge has not been attempted before.

The group is embarking on this challenge to help boys that are growing up with no father or father figure. The UK is facing a fatherless pandemic, with nearly 1-in-2 15-year old boys not living with both parents, the majority of which live with their mother. They will grow up to face far more challenges than your average boy. Unemployment, academic failure, depression, anxiety and poverty later in life are all far more likely for fatherless boys.

Please support this brave group in their quest to write hope into the fatherless story.

Chapter2 works with boys who are growing up with no father and no positive male influence. We provide them with a dedicated male mentor and male community to help guide them to adulthood. Our aim is to write hope into a story which might otherwise be profoundly sad.
