Story
No young adult should suffer from loneliness or a loss of hope, especially at Christmas.
ESTEEM offers a supportive space each week for young adults to be themselves, build their confidence, and improve their mental health.
For me, ESTEEM is a place where you can be there and grow as a person. It lets you improve your skills, socialise with new people, and just find your place really. Its a very special welcoming space that lets you make mistakes. I feel like Ive found my place - Josh.
We need £2,500 for Drop-in support sessions where local young adults can access food, friends, and wellbeing activities twice a week, all year round.
What is the Drop-In?
The Drop-In is a friendly, relaxed space that runs every Monday and Wednesday, for young adults aged 18-26, offering different activities and a free meal.
Activities include sports, games, art sessions, hikes, gaming, and so much more! It also gives young adults a place to meet and hang out with like-minded people.
We also host regular trips, giving young adults the opportunity to have a variety of fun experiences; like Thorpe Park, Ice Skating, and Brighton Pier, to name a few.
Im not that confident at making conversation. Its hard for me because I didnt make friends at school, but here, I enjoyed doing things together where youre not judged on your conversation skills, but you just do an activity. I really liked it. I enjoyed sharing the tasks and doing stuff together. It was a sense of community and teamwork Tia.
