Over the years, my love for the outdoors has driven me to seek meaningful ways of contributing to the global movement toward sustainability. My passion and appreciation for all types of outdoor sports (paddle boarding, kayaking, mountain biking, surfing, etc.) have simultaneously encouraged me to share these incredible experiences with as many people as I can. Unfortunately, these sports all require expensive, bulky equipment that is difficult to transport and store. As a result, they are inaccessible to a large amount of our population.

Equipme is my crack at changing that.

Equipme is an online peer-to-peer rental marketplace for outdoor sports equipment that will allow people to rent gear from one another. This summer, I will be putting my full effort into launching an early-stage version of this website in Burlington, Vermont.

To do so, however, I will need to raise about four thousand dollars to pay for a few key aspects of this venture. First, I need to hire a professional web designer for the front-end development and customization of my website. Second, I need to pay a $150 monthly fee for access to the back-end code that Im currently using in the early stages of my platform. Third, I need to hire a lawyer to review my terms of service. And finally, I will use these donations to advertise Equipme around the Greater Burlington Area over the course of this upcoming summer.

With Equipme, I hope to create a sustainable sports ecosystem that allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Thank you!
