Every single week, families are going hungry in Sheffield.
We see this at our foodbank centres across the city, stretching from Parson Cross to Gleadless, and Abbeydale to Firth Park.
Daily, we hear from people who have to choose between paying their energy bills, repairing the washing machine, buying new shoes for the kids, or putting food on the table.
And the problem is only getting bigger.
Last year, we supported almost 70,000 people with emergency food parcels. 26,000 of these were children. This is simply not acceptable.
Your generous donations mean we can be there for people when they need us. Along with providing emergency food, your support enables our trained volunteers and partner agencies to provide support with debt, benefits claims, budgeting, housing, employment, and signposting for mental health and wellbeing. Because hunger is rarely just about food.
With your support, we are making a difference!
At Sheffield S6 Foodbank, we believe that the problem of hunger in our communities needs everyone in the city to join the conversation and work together on a response. Will you join the conversation?
Can you support us by donating cash, raising awareness, or partnering with us?
