Solidarity is one of the founding principles of the Emmaus movement, going back to the words of our founder Abbe Pierre Serve first, those who suffer most. At Emmaus SLC we undertake various solidarity initiatives throughout the year, including one major fundraising event for beneficiaries nominated and then selected by our Solidarity Committee.

This year's event will be a 24 hour "Spinathon", an endurance static bike ride through the night. Members of staff, companions and friends of Emmaus SLC are taking part in the event, which will run from 4pm on Saturday 3rd September and finish at 4pm on Sunday 4th September.

This year we have decided to donate all proceeds to the Emmaus organisations we are supporting across Ukraine, Poland, and Romania.

All proceeds will be split between the chosen beneficiaries, and will go towards Ukraine refugee support.
