'The example of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other is that of a body. When one limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever'. [Bukhari]
Alhamdulillah, your Zakat and Sadaqah are providing essential food and non-food items to displaced families, including powdered milk, diapers, blankets, medicine and hot meals.
It is vital that you continue to raise awareness and give to this emergency appeal so we can reach even more vulnerable people. Our team are not only distributing Emergency Packs to displaced families, they are also planning to set up a mobile health clinic to give relief to IDPs.
Every donation will help us fulfil the basic needs of people who have fled their homes and livelihoods to survive.
We also highly encourage you to give long-term support to widows and orphans if you are able. For £29.50 a month, you can sponsor an Afghan orphan and lift a huge burden from their guardian's shoulders.
Due to poverty and instability, two million children in Afghanistan are at risk of malnutrition [WFP] - but you can help us tackle this widespread hunger. Your orphan sponsorship provides food, medical check-ups and more to a vulnerable child, protecting their health while ensuring they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
The Prophet (saw) said, 'Verily, the believers are like a structure, each one strengthening the other'. [Bukhari]
Your Zakat and Sadaqah are a source of strength for our brothers and sisters. Give now to help them get through the worst of this crisis.
