EGYPT TO GAZA – CONVOY OF HOPE!

As ISRA-UK continues its support for the besieged population of Gaza, we have partnered with organizations in Egypt to launch a crucial aid campaign, addressing their needs as the war persists and the onset of winter approaches.

"In all wars, it is children who suffer first and suffer most." 

The intensification of hostilities in the Gaza Strip is having a catastrophic impact on children and families. Children are perishing at an alarming rate – thousands are reported to have been killed, with thousands more sustaining injuries. An estimated 1.5 million people in the Gaza Strip have been displaced – over half of them children. They are depleting their water, food, fuel, and medicine supplies. Their homes have been obliterated, and their families torn asunder.

RIGHT NOW - ISRA UK is delivering Emergency aid such as Hygiene packs, Medical disposables, Hot meals, Family Food packs, and Potable water.  Hundreds of families have been assisted, and thousands have been individually helped through donations from our supporters.  

WE ARE STILL offering emergency help, but the need is immense and continued support from the public is paramount to delivery success.

IMPORTANT - The crisis will NOT be short-term; supplies will be eventually allowed in, and we are prepared for a long-term programme to assist the people of Gaza to recover. 

LONG TERM - We are also preparing for the coming weeks and months; rehabilitation will be our focus.  It is essential to plan shelter options for those who have lost their homes; too many will have lost their incomes and will need financial support. Long-term medical assistance will be essential to avoid disease and to maintain health conditions. 

PREVIOUSLY TO DATE –  ISRA-UK has been working through trusted partners on the ground in Gaza throughout the last 16 years of the blockade.  It regularly supports orphans and widows, agricultural, water, health, feeding and emergency response with documented success.  We have the years of experience, the connections, the local partners.
