Story
The challenge of running 26 miles is a big one, but nothing compared to the marathon challenges which many young people face on a daily basis.
So, on Sunday 16 April, Andy, our CEO, will run the Manchester Marathon his first. Simultaneously 26 young people will attempt to run 26 miles in relay and beat his time!
We are doing Challenge26 for two reasons:
To show our solidarity with one another; that our challenges are shared.
To raise funds for the vital youth work Emerge does to support young people experiencing challenge.
Whether in Manchester or Bradford, we are running for young people, for Emerge, for one another. Will you 'run with us' by sponsoring our challenge today! Every pound given will support our work with young people in Bradford.
We are aiming to raise £100 for every mile Andy runs, and £100 for every mile a young person runs. That's a target of £5,200
£20 buys a weeks supply of toast for our daily session in Bowling Park.
£50 pays for one young person to attend a residential experience.
£260 covers the costs of a half term of mentoring for one young person.
Our work with young people will continue for years beyond Challenge26. If you would like to support us by giving regularly rather than sponsoring Challenge26, please visit the donate page on our website.
Your gift today, whether one of sponsorship, or signing up to give regularly, will help us sustain our work now and help us grow our reach into the future so we better support more young people.
