Story

Take the plunge for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust at the Gurnard Green Boxing Day Dip! Join us at 11am at the sailing club to celebrate 10 years of this exhilarating tradition. But don’t worry if you don’t live on the Isle of Wight – that’s no excuse to duck out! Whether you’re by the coast, near a chilly lake, or at your local lido, you can still take the plunge wherever you are – just find a splash of water and dive in!

It might take your breath away, but it’s nothing compared to the shock young people and their families face when they first hear the word 'cancer.' Pledge to raise a minimum of £10 in sponsorship and help inspire young people to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. Wherever you are, your support will make a real splash!

Dont forget to tag @EMCTrust on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the #DaretoDip

Safety Advice: Please wear sturdy footwear to protect your feet and take care in the cold water. If you have health conditions, especially heart or respiratory issues, consult a doctor beforehand, as cold water can pose risks. Stay with others, avoid going too far, and exit the water immediately if you feel unwell. Dip responsibly and have fun!

About the charity

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.
