Ellis is doing Leeds Half Marathon for Second Chance Headway

Ellis has signed up for the Leeds Half Marathon 2026 to raise funds for Second Chance Headway. Ellis works for the charity and completed the Marathon in 2025; he wants to raise more money in 2026. Please give him and the charity your support.

We provide a therapy led day service for adults who are living with ABI/TBI brain injury. Objectives are to relieve & rehabilitate individuals who have sustained a ABI/TBI likely to cause significant disability. We provide and promote facilities for their support, enablement, education and welfare.

Story

Second Chance Headway run two specialist services – a Therapy Centre in Wakefield and a Community Casework Service delivered across all five West Yorkshire districts – supporting around 750 people affected by brain injury each year. The charity provide long-term rehabilitation, practical help and emotional and peer support. After receiving our support, 88% of people say they can cope better with the emotional impact of their brain injury. Families also receive guidance to help them manage sudden and often life-changing responsibilities.

Ellis has been working for Second Chance Headway for around 12 months while studying at Leeds Beckett University, he ran the Leeds Marathon in 2025 and this year wants to improve his fundraising target for the charity.
